    hold on children
    I really want a pirate radio station.
    I would play soundtrack tracks from Amelie, Rushmore, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings;
    I'd play indie music, litter some good quotes hither and thither;
    I'd throw in the occational radio play or something, oh it would be a blast...
    oh, and the conventional stuff, too. But I wouldn't play the songs that you hear wether you listen to radio/watch tv or not;
    Maroon 5 has enough publicity and angered people with machettes tailing their luxurious tour van.

    A VERY SERIOUS MATTER;
    Kimi, upon stomping a flea to death this afternoon during lunch, pondered.
    Whose blood am I sucking? Do I warrant a stomping?

    oh the humanity. :|

    Photoshop 7 is sooooooooooooooooooo much better than 5.5.
    *revels in the sheer glory of smooth lines*

    life's been good to me
    as I've been good to it.

    It's so simple sometimes. I think the most potent change I associate with me liking myself again- no seriously, actually admiring everything, including my own person- has been my art class. I had older people I compared myself to, and that made so much difference.

    Seniors are different from freshmen, but by-fucking-god, not that different.

    I love this book I've been reading. "The Teenage Libaration Handbook". "how to quit school and get a real life and education". It puts confident, written word behind the concepts and emotions I'd been developing about school, freedom, ability and growth. I'll unramble myself now and tell you some stories, o journal.

    :] Madvillianous
    I think 3 out of five times at "Studio 509", Julian's playing Madvillian. I had no idea what the music was, but it was more interesting than a ten gallon shark tank. Julian and "the gang" have introduced me to a fat load of music, most of it good:

    Islands,
    The Unicorns,
    Of Montreal,
    Buckethead,
    Dragon Force,

    it's so great that the Wednesday nights are happening until 11 now. I'm so excited!

    porkloife!
    first order of business: I like this Blur video! Blur are great. I only have one album though.

    secondamundo... my day...

    I went to the JC bookstore early to get a REAALLY big book of newsprint as opposed to just a pain ol' big one. We use a LOT of paper. For today only, I used perhaps 50+ papers. It's great to be able to whip out drawings I can judge and learn from. I never knew I could be so engaged, but having periods of seconds to capture the most important aspects of an old man's flabby skin is great. I'm hooked!

    I think seeing someone be so comfortable and still completely naked broke down some kind of a wall in me. In these last couple of days, even with the warmth and with a challenging swimming class, I've been more expressive in every way I talk and act. I also don't seem to mind "imposing" anymore; if there's music I can hum or dance, or when I'm at home/among friends, siiiing. I guess I just feel beautiful.

    I just saw this cartoon short by the creator of Ren & Stimpy. I really like his style, fo shiz

    here is my script, Bollywood; I hope you like it.

    act 1

    scene 1

    the scene opens with dim lights and the sounds of a clacking keyboard. KIM bursts into the room and skips around stupidly.

    KIM: *grabs her second dinner* *sets it down next to the couch* *flounces to the dvd chest* *gasps* I'M GOING TO WATCH HARRY POTTER!!!! eyyyeeeeeeyeeeeyeeyeyyeeeeeee
    MIKO: which one?
    KIM: HARRYPOTTERANDTHESORCERERSSTONE 8DD
    MIKO: okay i'm not
    KIM: MMHMMSURE.

    *amazing Indian dance scene*

    KIM: *commences Harry-watching*

    scene 2

    halfway through the film; Snape intimidates Quirrel in the hallway and frisks a tiger claw in invisible Harry's direction on screen. KIM is asleep, hugging MIKO and sitting on MOTHER.

    KIM: i am so asleep.

    summer june bug thug... shrug
    Summer's been a blaaaast! my figure drawing class is full of nice people, my swimming class should help me challenge myself physically, my dad helped to strap a fat basket to my bike, and art's been coming naturally. I've even been reading like I used to, before mental self-imprisonment came and beatboxed me into submission.
    That's interesting.. do you think a sort of overagressive beatboxer could scare away theives, or stop a mean boss?
    only time will tell.

    oh and this isn't fitting at all, but I made an icon.
    it's for when I wish to express shock/indignation/my love for Howl's Moving Castle.

    "Egotism is the same thing as being self-centered. People who are egotistical feel like they own the road and do not consider the rights of other drivers. The heart of egotism is disrespect for other drivers on the road."

    Yes yes, my driver's ed class is dictated epically indeed.

    Olive & I went to the Harmony fair! We missed The Velvet Teen's concert, but we ended up getting a poster from them for a penny. Aww. We could hear them playing when we were running around the parking lot... my ears hath deceivethed me, or Judah Nagler sang Don't Stop Believing!
    (Kata: post pictures!!! yay!)
    It was such an interesting night. I took pictures, so when they're developed, I'll post them and tell some more stories.

    Islands among oceans... salty brine and sharpie air
    Nyom Nyom Nyom )

    Sorry, no art this time, but here's a cool song everyone should hear because it's happy.
    Rough Gem

    Vocalist from The Unicorns. They're called "Islands". Julian F-B was playing it in Chops last Wednesday.
    By the way, people should come to that more... if you can, come! 7-9 pm on wednesdays. it doesn't suck. Orion gets kinda intimidating, but mostly everyone is so sensible and chill and just-wanna-be-your-friendsy it's... refreshing.
    All giddiness aside, it actually is really super neet feeling to see where these people are in life.
    Yesterday we were doing spin art on the clay wheel, and we ate lime-flavored chips.

    YAY art overload!!
    Saturday: Went to Rose Parade and ground my fingies to rainbow stubs doing chalk art with coo' coo' Julian (19-year old artist), Sully, Sasha, and other sweet friends from my class! Then I saved a string of 100+ balloons and walked dem from downtown s.r. to my house, which was hard in my beat-up slip on shoeses.
    Sunsunsundaye: painted... I didn't get to see the dance show OR as you like it. Grr.

    Natalie: I feel bad, I saw Jim Davis & he's friggen old

    WHEN WILL I SEE MY FRIENDS AGAIN? I don't know. I don't spend nearly enough time with them.
